An ASFMRA membership application must be completed.  This includes your work experience and three references, one of which must be a current ASFMRA member. 

The completed membership application should be returned to the ASFMRA National office with complete payment of the appropriate National dues, Chapter dues, and application fee. The completed application may be mailed, emailed or faxed along with the appropriate fees and supporting documents to: ASFMRA, 950 S. Cherry Street, Suite 508, Denver, CO 80246.  membership@asfmra.org, fax – 303.758.0190.

Concurrent continuing membership in a chapter serving a member’s geographical area is a requirement of membership in the Society (students excluded).  A person applying for membership in the ASFMRA can only apply in one of the five categories: Academic, Affiliate, Associate, Student or Professional.

There is a $125 non-refundable application fee which must accompany each application.

Membership is approved on an individual basis (that is, firms or government agencies cannot hold membership) and it may not be transferred.  Upon receipt of your application, it is reviewed by the chapter membership committee, where it is reviewed in detail.  If the committee recommends approval, then your application is acted upon by the Executive Council.

You do not have to be a member to receive information from the Society.  The ASFMRA Membership Directory is available to individuals, colleges, universities, businesses, attorneys, etc.  All you need to do is contact the National office at: 303.692.1218 to obtain a copy or visit The Store.

The FMRA News (a newsletter we publish every two months) is available to non-members by subscription.  If you are interested in a subscription to the FMRA News, please contact the National office at: 303.692.1218 to find out all the details.

The Journal (published annually) is also available to non-members by subscription.  You only need to contact the National office at: 303.692.1218 to discover all the details or visit The Store to purchase a copy of the latest Journal.

The ASFMRA Education catalog is available at no cost to any interested individual.  Contact the National office at: 303.692.1218 and request a copy be sent to you.
